Plantar Fasciitis

Plantar Fasciitis

The Plantar Fascia is a band of very thick fibrous tissue that runs from under the heel to the front of the foot, the fascia can become weak and irritated at the attachment to the heel.

It is more common in people who roll their foot inward but can also be due to, having high arches or flat feet, prolonged walking, standing or running and wearing ill-fitting shoes.

We can use a variety of techniques to reduce the inflammation and pain including massage, mobilisation, ultrasonic therapy, interferential therapy, acupuncture, injection therapy, podiatry and an at-home on-going treatment plan.
